1. Xvid is an open source MPEG-4 video codec project launched in 2001 to continue Project Mayo's open source Open DivX codec. It is compatible with DivX and high qualitative free video compressor.

To convert xvid to avi, please install the XviD decoder and audio decoder, or ffdshow.

Install the avi video or audio encoder such as DivX, XviD.

Launch Open Video Converter, click the Open Video button, select an xvid  file (*.avi) for xvid to avi. (xvid always is compressed in avi, mp4, ogm, mkv etc.).

You can encode avi with on2 format.

To convert ON2 to avi with divx xvid, or convert other video formats to ON2, Please install ON2 VP6 or On2 codec VP7.
