1. SVCD stands for super VCD. To convert SVCD to avi, please install the a dvd player such as PowerDVD Player or WinDVD Player for the SVCD decoder.

Please install the appropriate avi video or audio encoder such as DivX, XviD.

Launch Open Video Converter, click the Open Video button. After you insert the SVCD into the CD/DVD drive, you will find the directory named MPEG2 in the SVCD. In the directory, there are some SVCD files named AVSEQ01.MPG, AVSEQ02.MPG, or MUSIC01.MPG, MUSIC02.MPG etc. Then open the SVCD file in the program to convert svcd to avi file.

2. PMP is Portable Multimedia Player. Like PSP it is small and has hard disk to store and play media files. It supports different video format such as divx, xvid, mpeg, audio (mp3, wav, ogg vorbis) and digital picture (jpg, gif, bmp). Connect the PMP to PC USB, then you may convert PMP to avi file.
