MPG is
file extension of mpeg file (Moving
Pictures Expert Group). MPEG1 or
MPEG-1 stands for its version1.0.
1. To
convert mpg to avi, If the MPG
file is encoded with MPEG-1 format,
you do not need to install any
additional MPG decoder to convert
mpeg1 to avi. If the file
is encoded with MPG1.1 or 2.0,
please install the appropriate dvd
player such as PowerDVD Player or
WinDVD Player for the mpg decoder. ()
If
your do not install the appropriate
avi video or audio encoder such as
DivX, XviD you want, please install it first.

Launch
Open Video Converter, click
the Open Video button, select an
mpg file for mpg to avi.

Click the Options button to set the
output file name, resolution, frame
rate, audio compressor etc. if
needed. Select the video compressor,
the converter can convert
mpeg-1 or mpg to divx or convert mpg to xvid.

If you want to convert the whole
mpg file to avi, click
the Convert button.
If
you want to convert some part of
the mpg file, drag the
slide bar directly, or click the
Play button to preview the mpg
file, set the Start Time and the End
Time. At last, click the Convert
button to start to convert mpg to avi
or mpeg1 to avi with divx or xvid.
H.261 is digital
video coding standard based on mpeg-1. H.263 is
videoconferencing coding technology based on
mpeg-1 or mpeg-2. |
