The detailed description of Office Encryption 3.1:
Office Encryption provides more powerful and more convenient encryption protection for Microsoft Office files. You can input password once, and open many encrypted office files. Without Office Encryption installed, these protected files can?t be opened in other computers.
Office Encryption provides a task pane to manager encrypted office files. You can add new encrypted files, or open the encrypted files by this task pane. When you click the [Home] button on the home tab, a password dialog box will be prompted. After entering the correct password, Office Encryption will display the task pane on the left side, and list all the encrypted office files in it.
Office Encryption provides another encryption method. You can deploy your office files to encrypted exe files with password. These exe files can be run in other computers without Office Encryption installed. When others run these exe files, it will prompt password dialog box. Enter the correct password, the exe files will be decrypted to the original office files and opened in the related Microsoft Application.
Office Encryption provides multi libs to manage the office files in your computer. Each lib relates a folder in your computer. One lib can be listed in the task pane at a time. The libs can be set in three different modes: encrypted mode, protected mode, open mode.
- Encrypted mode: The files are encrypted by Office Encryption; they can?t be opened without Office Encryption.
- Protected mode: The files are protected by Microsoft Application; they can be opened with correct password without Office Encryption.
- Open mode: The files are normal Office files; they can be opened directly without Office Encryption.
