Samsung AllShare – as easy to share multimedia in the home
Large modern living room TV has full right to be called the center of home entertainment. AllShare technology, we can watch movies on it, photos and music from other devices connected to your home network via Wi-Fi router. Let’s see how this works in practice.
How to share your multimedia files wirelessly from smartphone
Imagine that just after coming home from a concert or other event you can sit in the living room watching TV and almost immediately see the recorded videos and photos instantly. The same is the newest episode of your favorite show, which was found on a network drive or the laptop.
Devices connected to a home Wi-Fi and DLNA compatible with the standard can freely exchange their media. Smartphones, tablet PCs, Blu-ray players, digital cameras, camcorders, and for that of course the TV Smart TV, and now we have a true multimedia center with a real event. AllShare action will demonstrate an example Smart TV Samsung TV (model UE40D6500) and smartphone Samsung Galaxy S Plus.
In our test, the memory of the smartphone includes photos, films and music that we make available for viewing on your TV Samsung Smart TV. Just in the smartphone menu to find a tool called AllShare marked with a distinctive blue icon.
Samsung AllShare have several options:
First We can play the file directly from your phone to another player (in this case the TV).
Second Restore a file from the media server on your phone (for example, from a network drive connected to the router’s Wi-Fi on your smartphone).
Third Play a file from a server on a different media player on our phone (smartphone fully here the role of controller and initiates media sharing).
In our case, we choose the first variant. The next step is to determine the type of media files, which we intend to share. They are divided into three categories: video, audio and images. By selecting one of them already go to the specific resource data stored on the device. Now just select the files to restore and click Add to playlist.
The last stage of the operation is to select the device to which files are to be sent by jet. The list appears on our TV. At first glance, the two devices together, TV may be asked to accept the transmission. Playback control provides both same TV remote control and screen smartphone.
Of course, our adventure with AllShare we can also start with the TV going to the desktop and running the Smart Hub AllShare tool. The contents of all devices on your home network and compatible with DLNA protocol can be easily viewed.
